- Find out your nearest Aadhar enrolment centre and pay a visit
- Fill out the form and mention your Aadhar details as well.
- It is required that at least one parent has his/her Aadhar made.
- The photograph of your child would be taken
- Address and other related information would be procured from the parent’s data.
- Give your child’s birth certificate which is mandatory
- Remember that iris scan and fingerprint would not be taken for a child below five years of age
- Aadhar executive will then hand you over the acknowledgement slip which has the enrolment number.
- On the UIDAI website, you can check the aadhar card status by name.
- Though the soft copy of Aadhar may be received earlier the hard copy will take nearly 90 days to reach the registered address.

- Submit the relevant documents to the Aadhar executive.
- Next, he will take the child’s iris scan and fingerprints of all 10 fingers.
- After child aadhar enrolment registration Aadhar executive will then hand you over the acknowledgement slip which has the enrolment number.
- On the UIDAI website, you can check the status of the child Aadhar enrolment using the enrolment number.
- When your child reaches the age of 15 years he will have to get the biometric data updated in the database.

- Parents Aadhar card
- Address certificate which has been issued by the MP/MLA or gazetted officer and has a photo of the child along with his address.
- For rural areas the address certificate issued by the Village Panchayat head.
Fees if any
The entire cost of getting an Aadhar card created is borne by the government. However, if you are getting your child’s aadhar card updated then you might have to pay a small fee which you can confirm with the UIDAI website.
